Elevators
are not refrigerators;
their lights don’t go off when their door is shut.
While the Arlington
Heights, IL District 25 was in the process of replacing all of
their T-12 fluorescent lamps in their schools, an observant
facilities manager mentioned that there were T-12 lamps in all
of the elevators. Those lights in the elevators had previously
gone unnoticed and omitted from the inventory of lamps to be
replaced. Like other specialized equipment, the natural reaction
was to contact the company that services the elevators to have
them quote on this lamp replacement project for the 10 elevators
in the District.
