MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Materials: Digital files in either MacIntosh (preferred) or PC format. Acceptable File Types: QuarkXpress, PageMaker, PDF format, Photoshop or Illustrator. Submission: CD, e-mail or ftp transmissions are acceptable. All printer/screen fonts and supporting images must be supplied. All images must be 300 dpi. 4-color images must be submitted in .tif or .eps format and set to CMYK. Black & white images must be set to grayscale. Screen Requirements: 133 lines for 4-color, 2-color and black & white. Density Requirements: 260% maximum density for 4-color, 180% maximum density for 2-color. Proofs are required for all 4-color ads. BLEED: Add .125” on all sides. SAFETY: Leave .25” on all sides. ADVERTISING TERMS & CONDITIONS

1) The publisher (Continental Communications dba American School & Hospital Facility - AS&HF) reserves the right to reject any advertisement and all advertising is subject to the publisher’s approval.

2) Advertiser agrees to defend and indemnify the publisher from any claims or damages arising from placement of advertising in AS&HF.

3) Any deliberate attempt to simulate AS&HF’s format is not permitted without written authorization and the publisher reserves the right to place the word “advertisement” with copy which, in publisher’s opinion, resembles editorial matter.

4) A contract may be suspended or cancelled upon written notice received by the publisher prior to the published Reservation Close for the appropriate issue. Advertisers not fulfilling contract obligations are subject to a short rate.

5) Unless a placement premium is paid by advertiser, ad positioning is determined by AS&HF.

6) Payment terms are net 30 days. Overdue accounts may be charged a 1.5% per month finance charge or the maximum legal rate of interest allowed by law for all past due invoices.

7) Recognized advertising agencies are allowed a 15% commission on gross billing space, color and position but only if the account is paid within 30 days.

8) Frequency discounts assume contracted number of ads are placed within one year.

9) The publisher’s liability for any error will not exceed the charge for the advertisement in question.

10) If any action or equity is necessary to enforce the terms of this agreement, the prevailing party will be entitled to reasonable attorney fees, costs and expenses in addition to any other relief to which such prevailing party may be entitled.

11) This agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the state of Massachusetts without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. All actions, claims or disputes arising under or relating to this agreement shall be brought in a Massachusetts federal or state court.
