NORTON Enhances 5700 Series LEO Power Operators

Monroe, NC -- An enhanced version of the 5700 Series LEO low energy automatic door operator is now available from NORTON Door Controls.

The device features a low energy electric motor that, when activated by a switch or motion sensor, provides a power assist to slowly open the door. A mechanical closer then takes over and returns the door to the closed position. A new inverter, door position ring and built-in level have been added to the 5700 Series to improve functionality and simplify installation.

The inverter includes simplified terminology on the adjusting pots to enable easy access and adjustments. A selectable push and close feature senses when the hold open time is not needed and allows the operator to skip this cycle and close like a standard door closer. An overload safety shut-off prevents motor/inverter damage by timing out and shutting the door when a door activation signal exceeds two minutes. A motor start delay waits from zero to five seconds to activate the operator, giving the locking hardware time to release. The inverter accepts dual voltage input: standard 120VAC, 60Hz (current draw .6A) or optional 220VAC, 60Hz (current draw .3A).

A one-piece design door position ring requires no tools for adjusting the door position; the magnet can be positioned with the touch of a finger.

The built-in level is standard on the back plate and eliminates the need for hardware to confirm the unit is correctly leveled during installation.

Product list prices are not affected by these changes. Catalog and installations instructions are available online at www.nortondoorcontrols.com. For more information, please contact your local ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions sales representative.
